All our psychologists hold doctoral degrees in psychology and have extensive experience coaching and counseling executives and working with organizations. Lawrence J. Foley, Ph.D.
Dr. Lawrence J. Foley is a Partner in Nordli, Wilson Associates, management and consulting psychologists offering services to business and industry, educational institutions, government agencies, and individual clients.
Dr. Foley has been a management and consulting psychologist with Nordli, Wilson since 1968. He did his undergraduate work at Boston University and his Masters and Doctoral work at Rutgers University. Prior to entering the field of psychology, he held management positions at Raytheon and at Dunn & Bradstreet. He has also held teaching positions at Rutgers University, Douglass College, and Boston University.
His major professional interests have included organizational analysis and change, individual assessment and development, including management coaching, conflict resolution, managerial team building, and leadership development. He has been involved in a number of broad and long term restructuring programs to help organizations compete more effectively. He has written articles and put on seminars on a wide variety of management and organizational issues.
Paul M. Harpin, Ph.D.
Dr. Paul M. Harpin is a Partner in Nordli, Wilson Associates, management and consulting psychologists. Dr. Harpin completed his bachelor of science degree in psychology at the University of Massachusetts. He received both his masters degree and his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Arizona State University. While in Arizona, Dr. Harpin taught undergraduates in psychology at Arizona State University as well as at Scottsdale Community College and consulted to the university and to the local court system. Dr. Harpin joined Nordli, Wilson Associates in 1981 and has been a partner in the firm since 1987. During his years at Norldi, Wilson Associates, Dr. Harpin has worked extensively with business organizations and executive management. He has consulted to a wide range of business clients from local entrepreneurs and business owners to multinational corporations. He has developed competency based 360° feedback programs, designed cultural assessment tools and conducted organizational surveys for a variety of organizations. He has also worked with numerous management groups on team building, strategic planning and succession planning, and organizational change.
In addition to his organizational work, Dr. Harpin has also worked extensively with individual leaders and executives in assessment and coaching relationships.
Lester L. Tobias, Ph.D., ABPP
Dr. Tobias is Managing Partner of Nordli, Wilson Associates. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology, and he is licensed in Massachusetts. He is the author of a book, Psychological Consulting to Management, as well as numerous journal publications and articles in many areas, including: organizational culture; change management; and executive coaching, selection, creativity, and communication. He has consulted with a broad range of organizations throughout North America on organizational and cultural analysis and change, team building, leadership development, crisis management, executive selection and appraisal, multi-rater feedback, and many other areas.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College, and his master’s degree and doctorate in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining Nordli, Wilson Associates, he managed a mental health center in Colorado.
The American Psychological Association has elected him to be a Fellow, citing his excellence in advancing psychology. It’s Division of Consulting Psychology has presented him with the 1991 National Psychological Consultants to Management Award of Excellence and the 2008 RHR International “Perry Rohrer” Award for Excellence in Consultation.
